Jump Mechanics

IC Kids learn the fundamentals of efficient jumping and landing.  Developing the appropriate mechanics at a young age will ensure long term health and minimize injuries in sports.

What are the kids doing after school?  Come to the IC and learn the fundamentals of acrobatics, track & field, and martial arts.  These critical skills will benefit them not only in other sports, but also in real life.

Eastern European Girls on Kettlebell Snatch

Inspiring displays of strength endurance by the young women of Eastern Europe. Siiri Univer (Estonia) at 58kg body weight and 16 years of age, becomes the female Overall Youth Champion at the 2009 Ventspils Atlants event with 220 snatches using a 12kg kettlebell. Other impressive performers in the video include Jevgenjia (45kg body weight) and Julija (63kg body weight) Prokopenko of Latvia, each coming in first in their respective weight classes and placing 2nd and 3rd overall.

Foreste Peterson Training Clips

Foreste’s aspiration is to join the U.S. Ski Team, Olympic, and World Cup Circuit.  She is currently ranked #1 in Giant Slalom and #2 in Slalom for ’93 females in the U.S, she was the Top American Female at Trofeo Topolino, Italy 2008 and Top American Female Overall at Whistler Cup, Canada 2008.

We are excited about her prospects in 2009.  Here are some clips of her recent strength & conditioning sessions at the IC with Jess.

Check out Valentin’s student displaying power and strength with impeccable form. Roman Kozlov is only 11 years old but can jerk 2 x 16kg bells 23 times in 1 minute. Imagine what he will be able to do ten years from now.
