Albany Thunder

The Albany Thunder working hard every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.

Congratulations to Lauren and Matthew Todd on the arrival of little Marcus!
“Dear Steve,
You got it. Marcus was 6lb 15oz, 19″ tall. We went into the hospital around 4:30pm on Thursday, and Marcus was born at 3:06am on Friday morning. Lauren only pushed for an hour, and honest to god, didn’t break a sweat!! We came home the next day and are loving our little bundle of love.
Matt”
Even little Gabriel knows a good lockout. If you want to lift barbells, dumbbells, or kettlebells safely, the lockout is the first thing you should master. This is the basis for healthy joints and connective tissue when holding a load overhead while training. Practicing a proper lockout can help you develop better stability, flexibility, and proprioceptive awareness.
While our school districts are cuttting P.E. classes and recess time, the youth of Ukraine participate in strength sports early in their childhood. Check out these amazing young ladies lift with incredible tenacity in a local competition in Crimea. They are tweens now, but by the time they reach age sixteen, they will have experienced kettlebell lifting, weightlifting, kickboxing, gymnastics, and a whole host of ball sports.
Congratulations to all the new moms at the IC. Thank you for sharing photos of your precious little ones with us.
