Check out JD and James competing for the first time... but keep in mind, learning to lift kbs properly does NOT mean you have to step on the platform too. You're welcome to learn to use them for fitness!

Beginning tomorrow February 7th, the IC will now hold supervised kettlebell practice sessions every Tuesday and Thursday between 5:30-6:15pm. Open to all levels (beginners and children 10yrs. and older are welcome)!

Congratulations to every lifter who participated in our in-house kettlebell competition! The best part of this event was seeing each one of you put 100% of yourselves on the platform. Thank you for giving us your ALL! Despite this being a practice meet (no rank or prize money on the line), many new personal records were set. It was an honor to witness.

We were also fortunate to have Jorge Gonzales fly here all the way from Hawaii to compete!

Thank you Kenny and Brittany for all of your great help throughout the day… and HUGE thank you to our wonderful volunteers: Karen Dutina, Steven Bard, Sara MacDonald, and Kirk Pelarde for their superior judging and efficient meet administration.

Ivan Denisov is coming back to the IC next month. He has shattered every record possible in Kettlebell Lifting. Ivan is not only the best lifter in the history of the sport, but on his way to becoming one of the best coaches too. His students are some of the best in the world, including Ksenia Dedukihna, Denis Gafarov, and Iyla Tashlanov.

Hey Steven and Maya and the rest of the ICKB team!

I’m sure you remember me, I’m the guy from Sweden who made a short visit at the Ice Chamber this past summer.

I promised to keep you posted on my progress, so here we go.

This last weekend I competed in the Swedish nationals in the 24kg biathlon (photo attached). Results:
106 jerk
163 snatch
187,5 points total and CMS rank

I want to thank you for great inspiration and awesome teaching this summer! It helped me a lot in my training!

Looking forward seeing you soon again (perhaps in an upcoming US competition?). Also good luck with your training! Always inspiring!

50 Year Old sets 32kg Snatch Record

Our great friend Fedor Fuglev, performs 32kg snatch at 26 rpm with perfect form in his favorite t-shirt. This feat is unheard of at any age. Happy 50th Birthday Fedor!!!

Women Do Double

Our female kettlebell lifters shatter gender barriers by doing double jerks. Our friend Emily Friedel, Australia’s 1st and only Master of Sport, continues to close the gap by coaching men and women to kettlebell excellence in her country – using the same standards. Welcome Emily to the IC, for the second year in a row!
