USPA North American Raw Powerlifting Championships

IC Industrial Strength Team participated in the USPA North American Multiply and Raw PL Championships at the San Jose Fitness Expo on Sunday, July 15, 2012.

It was a very competitive event with many lifters setting state and national records.  Sherry, Matt, and Brittany were among those lifters setting state records.

Matt set new state records for squat and deadlift in men masters divison with 418lbs and 473lbs respectively.

Sherry established a new state deadlift record in the women submasters division with 308lbs and took 2nd place in the women’s open.

Brittany established the state record for the female juniors division with 567lbs total and took 3rd place in the women’s open.

Jim set PRs for squat and deadlift with the use of only 1.5 hands due to a finger cut (with stitches) earlier in the week.

Loredie took 3rd place in women’s masters.

Nick was on his way to setting his personal best before a rib injury stopped him during the deadlift.

Ross took 3rd place in men’s masters.

Congratulations to the entire Industrial Strength Team for their huge effort during this training cycle!
