Saturday Morning Splendor
Saturday morning continues to be one of the best days of the week at the IC. Though not photographed here, today began with Johnny’s fabulous Stretch and Restore class. It’s official, his students have the best posture at the IC now. At 9am, Bear-Bear’s kettlebell lifting class was a treat because we are working with three amazing children this month! More to come on their burgeoning technique and incredible progress. Bear also made the entire class go an extra minute on their last set of long cycle (kb clean & jerk) with a moderately heavy load — it was excellent to see everyone push past the misery.
Despite Steve’s absence, Core class was fun too! …well, maybe until the sandbag mile… Big thanks to Bear, Johnny, Kenny and Brittany for taking care of everyone this morning.
Last but never least, Jessica’s cult SPIN class delivered another record setting caloric burn for all to enjoy. (She apparently made everyone pay for the VF cupcake she ate yesterday!)
Here are more sweet highlights from this morning:

We love seeing families train together. Go Elliot, Therese, Eian, and Matti!

Chef Beth is not letting injury stop her from being fit! She’s looking and feeling better than ever thanks to some special programming from Steve who’s got her making full use of the West Wing of the gym. “The Stairmaster intervals are the hardest,” according to Beth.

IC Softball Champs, Wendy, Matt, and Tracy, showing off their new shirts from the City of Albany!

Wow. Impressive day – considering I wasn’t there ; )
We’re recruiting for our cult, btw.
