Jen Cord sets PR with MS numbers
Watch Jen meet the numbers required for Master of Sport ranking (42/42) in the 24kg Long Cycle. She has been a dedicated IC lifter for 2.5 years and was recently granted her CMS rank after her performance in the NY Long Cycle Championship in March 2011. Job well done!

Congrats Jen! All sharp reps!
Spectacular video!
Nice Jen!
okay, that brought tears of joy to my eyes Jen! How could I have missed that?! YOU are a freakin’ rock star woman!! Beautiful.
Congrats Jen!! I heard the good news and am so glad I had the chance to see the cool footage. Very nice set!!
solid!
You made that look easy! Congratulations, you’re amazing!
Way to go Jen!!! I am so glad I was there to watch your set. Look out Chicago!
congrats Jen! Your dedication has paid off!
Amazing, congrats Jen!
Crazy powerful!
Congratulations Jen – totally awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow Jen! Well done indeed – congrats. That video is great btw!
Thanks everyone, your support is awesome and inspiring. It’s been fun working with the 24, I remember thinking I’d never be able to lift it! We are so lucky to have *the best* coaches and trainers.
(PS–I didn’t expect to see the whole set posted! Love the music & video but the best part, in my opinion, is the synchrony of my backup dancers, Janet and Brenda
AWESOME!!!!
Watching Jen power through her sets with strength and determination is a wonder. Obviously she’s strong, but it is her mental game that inspires me the most.
She is absolutely, totally and fully committed to every set.
Impressive.
that’s beautiful! Incredible! AMAZINGly graceful! ~Congrats!~
Jen, you’re a rock star! Way to go!!
Wow. Jen. So impressive!
LOL at the back-up dancers! Janet and Brenda rock!
One of the best parts about using the speed time lapse is that it illustrates the external chaos around Jennifer throughout the entire set. Imagine all of the random IC noise she was absorbing! She also had no prior warning that she was going to test for MS on Saturday until approx 10 min beforehand — thus receiving very little mental prep from me, Sara, and Steve. So Leslie, you are absolutely spot on in acknowledging Jennifer’s mental fortitude because it requires skill in many areas: staying calm & centered beforehand, focusing on technique throughout the set, building courage and sustaining confidence from start to finish, and then… having fun afterwards!
Jen may have made it look easy, but I assure you she has worked very hard to get here. She is always working to improve her lifts and correct her mistakes. The rank may be called Master of Sport, but it could also be called Master of Learning because that’s what it takes to get to this level. Great job Jen!
Leslie P. I totally agree!! Well said.
Woo Hoo nice work Jen. Keep up the good work!
awesome jen!!! we are very impressed
I’m don’t mean to be disrespectful Jen, but that was freakin’ HILARIOUS!! The fast motion with me & Janet and Maya buzzing around and the kid in pink in the back and everything going on. I’ll have to watch it a second time to see your AMAZING performance!! I know you didn’t even need to lie down afterwards : )
