ive had the honor to watch you lift from your very first event to now and i couldnt be happier for you making master of sport. you did the work and got the results you deserved. you, your two excellent coaches and your teammates should be very proud of that accomplishment.
i follow you and your team closer than most other squads as i was lucky enough to have been able to coach your coaches when they first got involved with the kettlebell and the american kettlebell club. i knew they were going to have great success in the sport from the very first competition they attended and they and you have done just that. you and your coaches exemplify a quality kettlebell crew and solid human beings in general.
i also celebrate your rank for another reason. you are the first master of sport to develop under someone that i coached. with your victory i became a link in the chain of american kettlebell history. in some respects it is even deeper in significance to me than my own sport coaching victories. from valery to me, from me to steve and maya, and now to you, we are all connected. Master Of Sport Jessica Dibiase i salute you.
best wishes,
kev
Kevin, we are honored that you commented here today and that you follow our team’s achievements because you and CI and of course, Cona, are the main reasons we first fell in love with KB Sport. Your enthusiasm and quest for true technical mastery has had a huge impact on me personally. Many of the technical adjustments and strategies we gave Jessica on the LC came directly from you and I’m so proud that you recognize them in her performance. I highly respect and revere EVERY piece of coaching advice you have ever given me in San Diego, Vegas, San Francisco, Ohio, Greece, etc. Through the AKC, you and Bonnie have been pivotal in pioneering the LC standard for women in the US (and internationally too). In fact, truth be told, you called out the LC in Loutraki the moment you made me study your video of Bonnie. (Still painful to watch me next to her!) It’s been a privilege for us to learn from you and your incredible athletes over the past two years. Thank you for constantly lending us your dynamic expertise and wonderfully generous heart Coach Kevin!!!!!!
Congratulations Jessica!!
