Local News:
Four members of the IC 7:00 crew are teaming up to help raise funds for family programs sponsored by the Mission District YMCA in San Francisco.
Eric Frothingham, Melissa Fernandez, Jonah Meacham, and Greg Free are all contributing to a charity event called Sip and Savor – a wine and top chef extravaganza – on Thursday evening, November 5th, in San Francisco. Eric is event chair, Melissa (chef extraordinaire) is contributing a catered dinner or party to the auction, Jonah consulted on event layout/sound system/music, and Greg is attending and looking forward to bidding in the auction. It’s great to see the IC community extend its reach to make a positive difference beyond the Chamber walls!

I am humbled knowing that I get to workout next to such amazing people (in all the various classes) that I otherwise might not get the chance to meet. What an inspirational environment Steve & Maya have created from their backyard.
Can’t wait to buy the book in support of this great effort. Tim, Congratulations x 1000 to you guys! Inspirational and abundantly hopeful to say the least…
…and to our folks supporting the incredible services offered by the YMCA in SF, you guys rock!
Thanks Maya (and Steven and Jess) for creating a environment which supports health, connection and community! Thanks also to the 7:00 a.m. crew folks who are helping out with the event on Thursday!
There are still tickets available on the web-site (link in Maya’s message) for this Thursday evening (6:00 – 9:00 p.m in SF) – would love to see IC folks there! (or if interested but can’t make the event, you can buy a raffle ticket or make a donation on-line to support the cause – you guys rock!)
WOW! Tim – I’m stunned and touched. I ran a sports and culture program in a Cambodian refugee camp and can attest to the power of sport to engage and give light and life to kids (and adults) who are stuck in a seemingly hopeless, dead-end place. I also experienced first hand the challenge of keeping regular soccer balls “alive” when the only place to play is a gravel strewn dirt patch. Thanks for your inspiration and for your work! Such a simple thing can make a big difference…
I was wondering where Tim has been lately…….now I know he has been doing amazing things!!! I am amazed by the work you are doing. Humbled…
Tim, so happy to see this photo and know the balls are finally with the kids!! Thanks for sharing it with us! I’m proud and humbled, too. And thanks for doing it, for all of us.
Tim: You rock!~
Thanks for making this a reality Tim. You are doing the world a great service.
