Inspiration for National Women’s Health Week

It’s wonderful to hear updates about extraordinary athletes like Master of Sport, Valentin Egorov and Jojo, our Brown Rowing Champ, but the quiet heros behind the scenes at the IC have just as much inspiration to offer our community…  especially if you like to hear about women prioritizing their health and thriving in their fifties!  Dedicated IC moms, Patricia, Debra, and Cameron–along with three other amazing women–love group training with Danielle every week.   (So much so that their class has been at full capacity and closed to the public for some time now.)  They have worked incredibly hard to achieve their goals over a consistent and significant amount of time.  Each one of them has experienced body composition changes, increased strength levels, and a remarkable improvement in cardiovascular capacity.   We are so proud of them!

Thanks for highlighting my sheros! Agreed, it’s wonderful to get the updates on the accomplishments of the extraordinary athletes, they are incredible! For me, it is equally encouraging and inspiring to hear of the accomplishments of all the extraordinary people that grace the gym floor at the IC. As many of us know, it’s a conscience choice to put ourselves on the top of the priority list. And even more impressive to keep doing it as we age. Great job Danielle and her team!

Way to go! You’ve inspired me. I turned 60 this year and my daughter Melanie introduced me to kettlebells. It’s nice to be feeling stronger every week.

I was really surprised to learn the real age of these beautiful ladies yesterday. My jaw dropped when they told me. I just assumed they were in their 40s when I saw Danielle put them through a pull-up test weeks ago.

You all really inspire me to do better everyday! Thank you, thank you , thank you!

and check out my mom posting to the blog! mom’s been rocking the kb’s several times a week after sara and jess taught her the basics back in march. Just goes to show you’re never too old to get in the best shape of your life!

Speaking of kettlebells, best shape, and moms (grandmas for that matter), check out Carol Evans:

She is stronger, more flexible, and much happier after learning to lift KBs. Carol is on Bonnie and Kev’s team.
