Ride the Wave

runewithneo

“Today Rune and I went out to La Jolla shores with the paddle board (and Neo) – wow another great workout in the waves and small swell- no rest time, always balancing… Neo loves it! Annakari, who wouldn’t go in the surf without holding Rune’s hand last year, was out there by herself and surfing tandem with her godfather! What a difference a year makes. Each summer (well, last one and this one in particular) reminds me of my thankful heart for finding the IC.”

Wow that is so cool! Can Rune and Neo surf together too?

  2. Shari says:

That’s terrific Renee. Thanks for the update.

Our family fitness adventure involved me taking my step-daughter and my two nieces through a circuit, resulting in my step puking at the end.

Rune and Neo in their element. Jen G. in her’s. Shari… well, I’m not sure if step moms are suppose to do that to their step daughters.

  4. Mallory says:

so much fun to be had…what great role models you are for your kids.

  5. Renee says:

Shari- did you have a smile when she puked?! Jen, we haven’t attempted that one!

Neo has turned crazy for waves. We all know he’s mild mannered, but we’ve found his “other” calling-surf dog!

We also witnessed an outdoor bootcamp today on a bike ride. Complete w/ kettlebells, lg medicine balls (the clean station) step ups, abs and pull ups from the top of the very large swing set. In true So.Cal style, all while filming! They did not have the IC advantage though- great people and over the top great trainers! Looking forward to getting very sore upon our return! Having fun, but missing the IC.

  6. Turbo says:

Nice picture Rune. Way to go Shari. Puking means it was a good workout. :)

  7. Shari says:

Well, I kept telling her to take it easy and slow down but she wouldn’t. So, I am I still culpable?

  8. Maya says:

Shari, the idea is to empower our youth through exercise. Luckily we all know you’re a loving stepmom underneath that badass exterior!

    Jen, that photo is hilarious!

    Hoyer-Nielsen crew: good times!!!
