Making the 10 a.m. Crew Proud

With a newborn at home, Rachel Quilici began commuting from Oakland to train at the IC in the fall of 2007. Since then, she has rarely missed a class (not even since we changed her preferred time slot). She trains hard and doesn’t give up easily. Her biggest asset, and possibly the secret to her success, is her positive attitude. Anyone who trained alongside Rachel yesterday and witnessed her very first barbell clean and jerk knows what a powerful force she has become. The result: 12 pounds down and a 4 point drop in body fat. The sky’s the limit Rachel!

Rachel was a rock star yesterday. She wanted to know how long you have to be a bootcamper before you could join the Core classes. After her clean and jerk performance, I’d say she’s ready.
OK-I feel like a dork. I had no idea that Rachel has a newborn at home, due to the fact that she is an AMAZING work horse! Never a compliant, always willing to try, always pushing herself. The times I’ve got to train with her, I’ve loved! Great job Rachel, you’re ready for anything!
BTW-yesterday’s 10am class lit up the house with all the great attitude & determination everyone showed. Thanks Steve for keeping up on our toes!
Rachel, you’re a doll. Stop making us new moms look bad! No really, I think I speak for all of us here… your progress has been fantastic to witness firsthand. On top of looking fabulous these days, you are becoming more athletic as each week passes. Keep up the grrrreat work!
P.S. I thought the class was awesome too Renee. Glad you enjoyed it.
I don’t think my classes are hard enough for Rachel ;-0 Time to bump it up a notch tomorrow.
Rachel you are awesome!!!! Thanks for keeping me going at class this morning!
Unbelievable stats – keep up the great work!
You are right Kelly, she is always encouraging others and always has a smile on her face!!
Not only is Rachel becoming a powerhouse but she always has kind words and a supportive attitude towards others in class. She cares about and notices the success of others. Just yesterday she gave me a compliment and don’t you know when we work as hard as we do it’s always nice to hear that someone is noticing! Thanks Rachel!
You guys ROCK! I got choked up reading your words of encouragement, and after I dried my tears I went and threw out my secret stash of dark chocolate covered almonds because you guys really inspire me. One of my favorite things about the IC crew is the awesome gang of fit, hard-bodied, 150% effort, kick-butt-but-do-it-with-a-smile women (and men) like you. So thank you for pushing me and supporting me!
Rachel, not only are you beautiful, funny, and strong as hell, but you’re humble, and I’ve never heard a negative word out of you! You are so determined and you just get out there and do that s*@t!!
Rachel’s awesome, super sweet, and just your overall super woman!
