Two Things You Hate
Wednesday night Core group practices for The Official Ice Chamber Biathlon that will take place approximately two months from today.
Event 1) Row for 2.5 minutes (1 calorie = 1 point)
Event 2) Kettlebell Snatch for 2.5 minutes (1 snatch = 2 points)
Participants have 30 seconds to prepare for the KB snatch event immediately after rowing. Once you begin the snatch, you must not let the KB touch the floor. If the KB touches the floor before the end of the 2.5 minute period, you must stop.
Winner is determined based on the highest combined score of the two events. Note: IC training staff will determine the appropriate KB for your level of experience.




In a strange way, I really liked last night. I like short timed events. The group energy. Knowing everyone else is going for it. Although I have a bad feeling that my KB weight will be changed.
So, I need to get Rune to help me with the swing so no bruising!
That’s exactly why Steve didn’t want anyone to go heavy last night.. bruising is not fun.
mine were nothing compared to Eva’s! Hers were swollen and needed ice fast! ouch!
Are the “two things I hate” the 2 bruises I have on my wrists?
I tried this and it works…take the velcro wraps that secure the weights to the barbells, and wrap them around your forearms. No bruises!

After the kettlebell snatch and then the dumbell push jerks, I look all speckled and spotted and such.
