  2. Elsa says:

Maya you look great! I expect the next picture in the series is you doing the L-sit with Mateo sitting on your lap.

  3. Elizabeth says:

Whoa! You are a total badass and a true inspiration!

  4. Maina says:

    Maya (may I talk now? :) ),

Go ON with your bad self, mama! I think I was still sleeping a lot at 6 months post-partum after my c-sections. You are an inspiration to all of us!

  5. steph says:

yeah. I think I was like Maina 6 months after. I know I was on a huge Ben and Jerry’s jag– to the point of knowing when the store got it’s delivery!!
I had never even heard of an L-sit!

    Way to go Maya!

  6. Mani says:

Thanks for being such a great coach and a constant inspiration….you will always rock Maya!!

  7. Val says:

  8. paty says:

now i know that’s you Mujer…not like the other pic that i thought was you & it was Steve, i should’ve looked at the feet huh? you go girl! i bet you couldn’t wait to be able to do that again?

  9. Renee says:

What else to say? Except, you are an amazing woman.

  10. Renee says:

Plus, I love looking at your determination when busting out your pull ups. That gives a girl something to think about!

  11. Mary says:

beautiful form and so gorgeous. (You Maya) Gotta ask, how do you do that without the chairs sliding away?

  12. Loredie says:

Go Maya! You look great, hot mama.

  13. Liz says:

You look better than you did after that /!@#$&* marathon! You’re my inspiration, girl friend.

  14. -- Tsan says:

Oh, blah blah blah… Like having a doctor slice through your stomach and muscles, then caring for a child, running your own business, working constantly to encourage others, writing articles, being a wife, sacrificing daily when you really want those warm tortillas with butter and making it all look easy is hard!

  15. Steven says:

Ya’ll are so kind to my wife. Thank you! I gotta tell you though, all she talks about all the time is how so and so at the gym just did a push-up, or a pull-up, or a perfect squat. She is really inspired by the average Joe or Jane coming in with little or no exercise experience, and then in 2 months or so they break out of the shell and start to do things they never imagined possible.

Btw Tsan, you’s a funny mutha, cuz I was just thinking the same thing.

  16. John says:

This explains why, whenever Maya walks by, I always feel like I should try a little harder, even if she doesn’t say anything (although she usually says SOMETHING!). Thanks for the inspiration Maya!

  17. peter says:

I love you too! (Even if you can only do a 230 lbs. deadlift)

  18. Turbo says:

Way to go Maya! Ms. deadlift queen… : ) You are keeping me on my toes mujer.

  19. Jennifer says:

Hey, 2 others beat me to the deadlift comment. I was going to say that Maya was amazing on Wednesday night. I couldn’t even do 140.

  20. mmmars says:

    One. Hot. Mama.

  21. Kerri says:

go maya go! love seeing your comeback in action with those rounds of pull-ups! you are a total inspiration!

  22. Tracy says:

    My hero.

  23. Turbo says:

Hey is that paint brush in the backround? I miss him.

  24. P says:

Incredible!!! You are seriously rocking it!

  25. PattyH says:

Wow, Maya. I’m blown away. I’m still working in the realm of the Assisted L-Sit, which only requires one of those chairs…

  26. Shari says:

    Perfection and inspiration. You.totally.rock.

  27. Kate says:
