Our 4th of July workout was one of the best ever! There was so much positive energy in the place, it was reminiscent of the IC Party in March. The only difference was that instead of a Taquero, we had Tsan, Dan, Susan, Doug, and Shari cranking out fresh smoothies (literally) like shots of tequila. Did anyone see their technique on the hand-held blender?

ok, I really blew it. I woke at 6:38am, imagined a huge crowd and began drooling on my pillow again. I will admit it, I loathe crowds, especially malls… Maybe it is the cop thing that has me wary and in need of a tad of personal space. If I knew I could “go to the other side” for the morning and have smoothies, well, I blew it.

The smoothies were really great Mary. Next time!

What a fabulous work yesturday! Big thanks Steve & Maya. Also, the smoothies were a great way to end the July 4th workout. Thanks Tsan, Dan, Susan, & Doug.

Mary, I too fear crowds. I am known for hiding in my house from Nov 25-Dec 31 because of the large amounts of people out and about. However the class seem to flow very nicely and it didn’t feel like there were 50+ people.

I love the crowds at the IC and fear the ones at the malls. The smoothies were very good, btw. Did you she Shari’s one arm crank?

  5. Shari says:

I’m always so thrilled when my training at the IC translates to an everyday task. With Doug and Tsan coaching, I tightened up my abs and went for a full extension in my arm. It was fun but tough. I’m really sore already.

As for the size of the class, I like seeing all of the people I never get to meet because I am zzzzzing at 6:00 and 7:00. I was psyched to see a few 9:30 bootcampers. But, core class, we were sorely under-represented. Me, Bear Bear, Doug, Dan, Brenda and Jessie are the only 6 I can remember. Out of 53?! Shameful!

What’s the best way to get some of the core folks to come to holiday workouts in the morning?

  7. Shari says:

    Um, have them at 6:30 p.m? :)

I have a suspicion that If we did, there would still be only “Me, Bear Bear, Doug, Dan, Brenda and Jessie.” ;-)
