Today we celebrate the birthday of the IC’s Mill Around Champ.
Prior to joining the IC, John Martinez was a corporate executive who insisted on wearing blue suits with red ties. He was often seen with a plastic smirk on his face carrying the Wall Street Journal in his right hand. Poor guy.
After nearly two years at the IC, he’s completely transformed himself into a sleeveless muscle man who never leaves home without a kettlebell in his left hand. No more plastic smiles these days, just facial soreness from writhing in pain.

Hey, where did you get that bobblehead? I thought we destroyed those! Just for the record, I hated the suits.
Thanks to the IC for making me and my family fitness freaks! In addition to getting a kettlebell and jumprope for my last birthday, today I was given an evil wheel and those stretchy tubes with handles on the ends. Best of all, my kids wouldn’t let me have a turn because they wanted to use them! Of course, I just milled around watching…
Sincere thanks to Steven, Maya, Kelly, Mani, and the rest of the IC crew. You have a great thing going, we tell all our friends, and we are often thankful to have found you (but never during a workout!).
