Put Your Mind Into It
Nathalia Worms and Jill Sprague demonstrate that, when put to the challenge, anything is possible if you set your mind to do it. After Friday morning’s Bootcamp, Nathalia easily earned her 1st pull-up.

Meanwhile, our ever so humble powerhouse Jill achieved multiple clapping pull-ups (Steve counted 6 in a row).

Once again, the women of the IC prove that you don’t have to be a badass to be a badass.



Nathalia- that’s great! I’m sorry to have missed it. I could tell it wouldn’t be long until you had a pull up.
And Jill–that’s just crazy!
Susan Reeves is the original undercover badass. She is one of the most well-rounded athletes we have. But you will never know by talking to her. She doesn’t even know how good she is.
Nathalia is just incredible. Two months into training and she’s already working on pull-up #2. Prior to starting at the IC, Nathalia had no training.
And Jill is SO GOOD, it’s ridiculous. Steve: Hi Jill, can you do this (plyo pull-ups with grip change-over in mid-air)? Jill: No… I don’t think so. Jill busts out ten. Steve: Hi Jill, can you do this (clapping pull-ups)? Jill: No… I don’t think so. Jill busts out six. Kelly: Hi Jill, can you do dips from the L-sit position? Jill: No… I don’t think so. Jill busts out five. And by the way, Jill is a mother of two!

nathalia rocks the house, as all of us women can attest, pull ups are not lady friendly.
Muscle-ups are easy for Jill. I saw her do it on the bar.
amazing and inspiring! I love that my understanding of what’s doable changes every time I go to IC, either by watching, or occasionally by surprising myself. congrats, ladies.

A muscle-up is a basic skill gymnasts use to get their bodies over the still rings from a hanging position. It looks like a pull-up into a dip on the rings. However, you can use muscle-ups in other applications as well, e.g. climbing over a wall.
Jill, I worship you and I don’t even know who you are!

You all are giving me way too much credit. I’m such a dork — I get so inspired by you guys that I’ll try anything. Turns out I was sore the next two days! In gymnast lingo, a muscle up is a kip — and it’s all in the swing not necessarily strength… The dead hang pull-ups are a huge accomplishment — snaps to Nathalia and Susan!
