Couples that Rock the Ice Chamber Pt. 3
Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Craig and Stephanie wake up before dawn to train at the Ice Chamber. They usually arrive early in order to warm-up on the rowing machines. As a result of this nearly 11-month routine, Craig now has one of the fastest 1000 meter sprints in the gym. According to Craig, “It is a great joy to have this wonderful (and exhausting, exhilarating, and often painful) experience alongside Steph.” Stephanie is no slouch either. She often tests her own limits by choosing to pull and press heavier weights than 90% of the participants. These two know how to train hard! They even managed to get their daughter Ruth to follow in their footsteps in preparation for her softball season this Spring.
Craig’s other talent, aside from rowing and engineering, is knitting!!! Wait until you guys all see the Ice Chamber symbol he (and four other IC folks) knitted into Baby Ks blanket.
They are one dynamic duo. Always inspiring to walk into the IC blurry eyed and see them already working up a sweat! Can’t wait to see the blanket!

I fear anyone who hold a rowing record. But the 1000? I am cowering just thinking about it.
Hurray for Craig and Stephanie, they are such dedicated folks. And amazing attitudes. I loved seeing them push harder on those rowers at 5:55 am. They are a great team and truly a couple that rocks!
I can’t wait to see the blanket. I do not know the dynamic duo, but my hat off to you for holding the rowing record. We all know how tough rowing is.
These two are the quiet warrriors of the Ice Chamber…Craig is determined to shave a little off his time EVERY time…and watch out for Steph with those weights!! So next time you see them on the rower…a little cheering goes a long way!
