Pay attention

Listening to pre-workout instructions can sometimes feel like you’ve just developed an extreme case of adult ADD, but tuning out will cause you to miss valuable information about technique, program design, and safety. Here’s your reminder to call on your inner “teacher’s pet” and focus on your coach once class begins. :-)

    and for all of us visual learners – watching helps too
    and nothing beats a little mental rehersal of the circuit route

    yes, please dance wildly from station to station. and do not ever feel stupid for asking questions!!! it makes us trainers feel smart.

    Yep…asking questions will not make you look stupid! So ask away, we welcome it…and I love it when people run to the next station (so long as you don’t hurt yourself), it makes me believe you love what you’re doing and you can’t wait for more torture:)

    I am often guilty of dancing to my own internal beat. However, put a certain Shakira song s’times heard at teh IC on the stereo, and I’ll show you the coordinated dance we have done at my Israeli dancing group. it’s cool! I swear…

    It is just one more trick in my coach’s bag to try and keep athletes’ attention.
